Overall impression is that Acabanes lacks for nothing and is a wonderful base for a holiday"

"I have had the best holiday here at Acabanes; not only have I been surrounded by wonderful people but also by beautiful scenery and a gite that caters for everyone’s needs. Acabanes itself is spectacular; the pool and veranda area that have recently been renovated are amazing and it is incredible that Adrian himself did the design. Inside the gite are all the facilities that anyone would need/want including a pool table, dart board, table football, huge collection of DVDs and CDs and a corner of information handbooks that contain leaflets for days out.
I have loved visiting the surrounding hamlets and villages, and also attending the French markets. One of the activities I will remember was our canoe trip; the landscape going down the river was wonderful and although at first I was going in circles in the canoe, we made our way to a little beach for lunch on the river bank.

"Just a quick thank you for a wonderful week at Acabanes. The weather was gorgeous, we were able to make good use of the pool and bikes, we cycled down to the Golf Club one evening. We visited St Emilion and Monbazillac amongst other places, and did plenty of al fresco dining! The gite was brilliant, you've obviously gone to a lot of time and trouble to make sure nothing was forgotten. "Our first trip to France has been a wonderful experience thanks to being with such good friends, Julie and Paul who are seasoned French travellers and having such a fantastic gite to stay in, very spacious, comfortable, well equipped and in such a tranquil and scenic location. We have visited some lovely places such as Eymet, Sarlat, St Emilion & Roche Guache, Beynac and Bergerac and all within easy travelling distance of Acabanes! Where we have sampled a lot of the French wines and patisseries! Which are excellent. Our visit to Chateau Monbazillac was superb. The bikes provided by the gite gave us a lot of amusement on our first night here as we cycled further than anticipated due to the lovely countryside and the sunshine. We have all enjoyed the pool for swimming and sunbathing around and just generally chilling out! All in all our holiday at Acabanes has been perfect."

"Acabanes is probably the best equipped villa we have stayed in, and the little extras, like a welcome pack and pool as well as villa towels, make all the difference. There does not appear to be anything you have overlooked in creating the perfect holiday home.

"Our first visit this year, as usual Acabanes is perfect. Other guests comments reiterate our views on the villa and location. Have discovered many more lovely eating places. If visiting in July or August, do try Soumensac on a Sunday, all locally prepared food stalls, wine, country produce, which you buy and eat at tables with a superb view. It is going to be hard to tear ourselves away and travel back to the UK, but Acabanes and this lovely area will still be here next year."

"Beautiful weather and such a perfect home made it very difficult to prise ourselves off the sun lougers to go off exploring.
So many facilities provided here would be regarded as extras elsewhere. We wished for the sun to go in, so we would be tempted away from the pool! The countryside is beautiful, the bikes first class and the pool table and darts meant we never heard the dreaded words 'I'm bored'!So much care and thought has gone into all areas – we particulary appreciated the pool and its vast range of toys! Also the pool table and darts and the very extensive information on the local area.
Brilliant market at Issigeac on Sunday. Beautiful mohair stall, we followed up with a visit to the farm. We went to Bordeaux via St Emillion, which was well worth a visit. We ate out locally at some great restaurants. You have created a lovely home here – we appreciated it very much indeed – thank you."

You have thought of every minute detail – football, swimming, cricket, badminton, table tennis, cycling – the list goes on. Every moment was relaxing due to the natural environment that surrounds the property and the facilities here which act as a treat and provide extra entertainment. I enjoyed several challenging games of water polo, table football and darts. Thank you for a great stay and I can’t wait to return."

All the facilities have been excellent, especially the pool…The villa couldn’t be situated in a better spot, a ten minute drive to a brilliant golf course and lots of bikes rides all around the countryside and vineyards. There are also plenty of things to do in the evening, lots of nice restaurants in the area and the evening market in Eymet. I recommend this stay to anyone!"
