In general the temperatures in the
Dordogne are similar to those experienced in Spain and
Portugal.
In particular the months of May
and October are some of the nicest of the year, with
temperatures averaging over 21C with 7 hours of sunshine per day
(typically higher than the UK in July and August!).
The summers tend to be very hot
with plenty of sunshine. Long spells of good weather are punctuated by
some dramatic thunderstorms, which keep the countryside looking very
green despite the high temperatures.
