The focal point of the barn is a
large sitting room 9m x 8m which is open to a timbered
"cathedral" ceiling and a large mezzanine area. This room is full of
character with the original stone walls and wooden beams.
A large Jotul wood burning stove adds warmth and character to this
room, with two settees and three armchairs making it a wonderful place
to relax in the evening.
The information area features a series of large maps detailing places
of interest in the surrounding area, associated manuals and leaflets
enable guests to make the most of their stay.

Located within the lounge
is an entertainment area which includes a 42" Hitachi HD Plasma
Television connected to a full package of UK Satellite TV channels; DVD
and VCR. We have provided an extensive
number of popular DVDs, but guests are also very
welcome to bring their own. The DVD
player is connected to a surround sound stereo system, to enable
enhanced viewing of DVDs. This stereo system can also play the
assortment of CDs and albums provided. There is an Ipod docking
station here also.
For further entertainment there is also a 7x4 foot slate bedded
Championship Pool Table which can also be used for Snooker, as well as
a Casino Games Ttable.

The kitchen/dining area leads from the sitting room. This room is 9m x 4m with beamed ceilings, tiled floors and oak
fitted kitchen units. It has a Jotul wood burning stove,
large gas oven and five ring hob,
microwave oven, dishwasher, washing machine and large fridge/freezer.
The dining table can accommodate up to twelve.
The original doors to the barn are situated at the far end of the
kitchen, through which the local farmer and landowner, Mr Duteil,
brought his cattle into the barn. Mr Duteil has recently retired to
the bungalow situated at the bottom of the lower garden.
The kitchen opens, through French doors, onto a
partly covered terrace. There is a BBQ, table and chairs
and from this terrace you can
enjoy the views over the lower garden, and surrounding countryside.
Downstairs, the
two large bedrooms both have adjacent en-suite shower rooms, with
exposed stone walls, beamed ceilings and tiled floors. French doors
allow direct access onto private terraces and the swimming pool
beyond (both can be locked to limit
access to the pool area):
