stay at Acabanes this last month. It was perfectly set up for our 2
famililies consisting of 5 active boys. The kids loved the table
tennis, hammocks, the "magical tree" (willow), the trampoline,

went on many adventure walks on the quiet lanes in the area. The
adults loved sampling the local produce and local wines. We loved
the Friday night music festival in Sigoules where we ran into Lee,

well worth the visit. Monday went to Bergerac and then Perigeux,
both places lovely. Lovely lunch for 11 euros for 3 courses.
Visited the local Chateau des Vigiers golf club and bought some wine
as it is also a vineyard. Also went to Monpazier, the best bastide
in the area. Overall impression is that Acabanes lacks for nothing
and is a wonderful base for a holiday"

"I have had
the best holiday here at Acabanes; not only have I been surrounded by
wonderful people but also by beautiful scenery and a gite that caters
for everyone’s needs. Acabanes itself is spectacular; the pool and
veranda area that have recently been renovated are amazing and it is
incredible that Adrian himself did the design. Inside the gite are all
the facilities that anyone would need/want including a pool table,
dart board, table football, huge collection of DVDs and CDs and a
corner of information handbooks that contain leaflets for days out.
I have
loved visiting the surrounding hamlets and villages, and also
attending the French markets. One of the activities I will remember
was our canoe trip; the landscape going down the river was wonderful
and although at first I was going in circles in the canoe, we made our
way to a little beach for lunch on the river bank.
Bastille
Day was brilliant too - the fireworks were spectacular at Bergerac. I
have had a wonderful time here in France and hope to be able to come
back soon!"

first trip to France has been a wonderful experience thanks to being
with such good friends, Julie and Paul who are seasoned French
travellers and having such a fantastic gite to stay in, very spacious,
comfortable, well equipped and in such a tranquil and scenic location.
We have visited some lovely places such as Eymet, Sarlat, St Emilion &
Roche Guache, Beynac and Bergerac and all within easy travelling
distance of Acabanes! Where we have sampled a lot of the French wines
and patisseries! Which are excellent. Our visit to Chateau Monbazillac
was superb. The bikes provided by the gite gave us a lot of amusement
on our first night here as we cycled further than anticipated due to
the lovely countryside and the sunshine. We have all enjoyed the pool
for swimming and sunbathing around and just generally chilling out!
All in all our holiday at Acabanes has been perfect."

August, do try Soumensac on a Sunday, all locally prepared food
stalls, wine, country produce, which you buy and eat at tables with a
superb view. It is going to be hard to tear ourselves away and travel
back to the UK, but Acabanes and this lovely area will still be here
next year."

"Beautiful
weather and such a perfect home made it very difficult to prise
ourselves off the sun lougers to go off exploring.
So many
facilities provided here would be regarded as extras elsewhere. We
wished for the sun to go in, so we would be tempted away from the
pool! The countryside is beautiful, the bikes first class and the pool
table and darts meant we never heard the dreaded words 'I'm bored'!So
much care and thought has gone into all areas – we particulary
appreciated the pool and its vast range of toys! Also the pool table
and darts and the very extensive information on the local area.
Brilliant
market at Issigeac on Sunday. Beautiful mohair stall, we followed up
with a visit to the farm. We went to Bordeaux via St Emillion, which
was well worth a visit. We ate out locally at some great restaurants.
You have created a lovely home here – we appreciated it very much

where do you start? This was the first holiday I have been on where I
didn’t want to leave the villa. You have thought of every minute
detail – football, swimming, cricket, badminton, table tennis, cycling

brilliant time here. All the facilities have been excellent,

ten minute drive to a brilliant golf course and lots of bikes rides
