Gurson
Lake, in the Périgord Pourpre, is near Castillon La Bataille and
Villefranche de Lonchat,
known for its bastide, museum and wine, and is situated half-way
between Bordeaux and Périgueux.
The Gurson tourist centre includes :
An 11 hectare lake and beach; supervised swimming
during the holiday season.
The beach water slide.
Café / restaurant, a selection of drink stands,
ice-creams.
A 4 hectare fishing lake. Fishing permits can be
purchased on an annual, fortnightly or daily basis.
Grounds stretching over 20 hectares including shady
picnic areas.
Two tennis courts near the campsite and ‘boules’ areas.
Children’s climbing frames and roundabouts on the
beach.
Volley ball area. Swimming.
