A new outdoor
go-karting circuit has been built on the edge of Bergerac, close to
the major supermarket complex. The 800 metre track is open every day
except Tuesdays from 13:00 until sun down.

There
are karts for adults (270cc "Sodikart") and children (7yrs to 14
yrs - minikarts 120cc).
The owner, Jean-Pierre, shares his
enthusiasm for karting and his experiences led him to build this
track. His involvement in the family track project has taken him away
from his passion for competition, but has not diminished his enthusiasm for the sport.
He started competitive karting in
1990, in the Yamaha Challenge, which he won in 1991. After two
years spent perfecting his skills on 125cc shifter karts in the Wernet
Cup, he began competing in the 250cc “Superkart”*
Championship, taking 10th place the first year; he was on the podium
the next two years and finally won the title of Champion of France in
1997 and 1998.
Then after a stint as a preparer and team manager for a Superkart
racing driver, his renown in karting circles led to an introduction to
the world of endurance karting, where in spite of the considerable
power and chassis differences with 250cc karts, he quickly adapted to
the 100cc ICA equipment used in this category.
He also participated in the 24 hours of Le Mans Karting competition,
thanks to two famous endurance teams, the Rabineau Team and the HRS/DSS
Team.
