Cycling
In order to enjoy the
wonderful scenery that surrounds the villa, six 18 speed bikes are
provided. They are of varying frame sizes are can accommodate a ten
year old up to a six foot six adult!
Additionally there is 1 trailer bike (suitable for ages 4
to 8 years), 2 children's bike seats suitable (for ages 9 months to 6
years), 2 children's bikes, one for a child aged 5 and the other for a child
aged up to 10.
The gently undulating countryside offers
cycling for all abilities with a choice of distances. Most of the
roads in the area have little traffic so it is possible to go on a
long journey and see few vehicles.
Laminated maps of the area surrounding the
property are provided to enable you to choose whichever route appears
most appealing. To assist your decision, certain circular
routes are described in detail within the property.
What better way to spend a day than cycling through
the vineyards sampling some of the local produce, before arriving at a
bar or restaurant for lunch or alternatively having a picnic in the superb
countryside?
Walking
The numerous networks of small and quiet country
lanes also provide excellent walking routes, with panoramic views. The
villages en route are ideal places to stop for a refreshing drink or
snack.
