Aquarium
Located 25 minutes from the
villa, with over a thousand fish of the 33 species which live in the
Dordogne River, including migratory fish such as salmon, sturgeon and
lamprey. An exhibition recounts the history of fishing from
prehistoric times to the present day and there are exhibits of local
Stone Age flint, as well as the evolution of the vines and wine
through the ages.

Le Parc Aquarium
Situated
at Le Bugue - 1.5 hrs east of villa. This visit can be combined
with a visit to the caves or pre-historic park.
Parc AQUARIUM Périgord Noir’s target is to be educational as well
as fun. The visit is like a walk in the very heart of the Dordogne river,
which brings out the variety of aquatic
inhabitants
that can be found in the river.

Parc AQUARIUM, helps to understand the
freshwater environment, by staying as close to nature as possible.
Natural light lights up the open-air tanks so that the 6,000 fish have
natural life conditions.
